AMONG CORAL AND LOBSTERS
On our excursions divers can discover the sea
bed and the aquatic environment of the coast of Livorno, Tuscany,
a colourful underwater world which is famous for its red coral.
All the dive sites can be reached in a few minutes
by boat and the "Secche della Meloria" [Meloria Shoals]
are only half an hour away.
Most of the dives are characterised by sheer walls at a depth
of 12/15 meters to 30/45 meters.

Flourishing red coral everywhere and walls completely
covered by red gorgoniae are the predominant peculiarities of
our dives.
Lobsters are commonly seen as are various kinds
of nudibranchs, such as Flabellina affinis, Flabellina babai,
Discodoris atromaculata, Cratena peregrina and many others.
It is also very common to find sea-scorpions, squat lobsters and
sometimes groupers, too. At one of our dive sites you can be sure
to see shoals of white breams and sea-breams of noticeable dimensions.
